כ טַבָּח שֶׁנִּמְצֵאת פְּגִימָה בְּרֹאשׁ הַסַכִּין, וְאָמַר: זֹאת הַפְּגִימָה מִפְּנֵי שֶׁאֲנִי מְכַסֶה דַּם הָעוֹפוֹת בְּרֹאשׁ הַסַכִּין, וּכְשֶׁאֲנִי שׁוֹחֵט אֲנִי נִזְהָר שֶׁאֵינִי נוֹגֵעַ בַּפְּגִימָה, מַעֲבִירִין אוֹתוֹ; וְקָרוֹב לוֹמַר שֶׁהַכֵּלִים אֲסוּרִים

Seif 20

 

A butcher that finds a flaw on the head of the knife and says: “This flaw before me covers the blood of fowl on the head of the knife; and I slaughter and i’m careful that I do not touch the flaw”, he is removed from his post; and it is close to say the vessels are prohibited as no longer kosher.
